The team

York Penno, creator/author/illustrator of the StarPeace universe

"There's nothing prettier than life, and nothing more soothing than focusing on our five senses. To live is to be aware."

For 40 years, York was self-employed in visual communications in France and Germany. He gained unique experience working alongside some of the biggest European and international brands and companies, some of them world-famous, such as Kellogg's, Pepsi, Unesco, Ford, Bourjois, Thierry Mugler... Conception of promotional actions, conception and realization of communication supports, corporate design, promotional campaigns, meeting and/or collaboration with various artists such as La Toya Jackson, Bernard Villemot, Wojtek Siudmak, Hélène Ségara, Manu di Bango, Cheb Khaled, Angélique Kidjo, Le Grand Orchestre du Splendid, Renaud, Johnny Hallyday, Les Forbans, David Soul and Cirque du Soleil.

Today, he has hung up his apron. He has been working with passion, love and intensity for years on his project: StarPeace. Sensitive to the benevolent actions carried out in our world, the StarPeace universe is the fruit of his imagination.

Bastien Penno, President of StarPeace SAS and co-author of the StarPeace universe

"Life and discipline are like a day that repeats itself but is not alike."

A qualified lifeguard, Bastien worked in Europe's second largest vacation village, Cap Esterel, for 5 years. He then spent 2 years as a swimming coach at Europe's first and largest tennis academy, Mouratoglou Country Club. Bastien enjoys sharing his knowledge, promoting the objectives of each person who crosses his path, communicating emotions, organizing and, above all, creating. President of StarPeace and co-author, Bastien is also the team's stage manager. An avid traveler and shaolin kung-fu enthusiast, he integrates the reality that surrounds us into our stories, and is constantly perfecting the illustrations in his books. For him, patience and perseverance are at the heart of the StarPeace enterprise.

Michaël Penno, StarPeace team member

"Cloudy water always clears up in the end."

A master swimmer for 10 years now, Michaël has acquired a wealth of experience in the aquatic environment. He first started building it up in the south of France as assistant manager of Europe's second-largest vacation resort, Cap Esterel, and as a coach for a club in the Var region with highly ambitious sporting goals. He then decided to focus more on teaching swimming to all, by joining the GPSEA and the sports association at the school where he currently works. What's more, as a young father of two, Michaël has a new outlook on life and hopes for the best for their future. So it was only natural that he decided to help bring a new perspective to the world around us, through StarPeace. He enjoys sharing his thoughts, helping the team create stories and ensuring that StarPeace's ambitions run smoothly. Michaël also plays a key role in bookkeeping and decision-making.

Daniel Coudert, supports the StarPeace team in the marketing of children's products.

"Live and move on, so you don't regret anything."

Daniel studied business, while at the same time working as a product manager for a physics hardware company. He wrote a dissertation on the subject: "Opportunities for manufacturers to enter the education market". On this occasion, he interviewed the head of the Lego France Group, which led to a job offer in product development and introduction. The Lego adventure began, and continued for several years. He then set up his first company, Codeal, in which he distributed Fischertechnik, Playmobil and created products from existing sets. Daniel eventually joined the French publishing group Hachette Livre as Sales Director for a branch of the latter, Bourrelier Education. He was then promoted to Editorial Director for Gamma Jeunesse, and then Development Director, still with Hachette Livre, for 6 to 7 years. Since then, he has been involved in importing and exporting games worldwide. Now living in Switzerland, he is embarking on the StarPeace adventure alongside York Penno, his friend of 20 years.

Lucie Agache, Communications Manager for StarPeace SAS

"People often talk about living the adventure of a lifetime. Personally, I prefer to live a life made up of adventures."

With a background in journalism, Lucie worked for two and a half years as an in-house journalist and press relations officer for one of France's leading cleaning and associated services companies. Lucie is originally from the North of France. And has what we call "la bougeotte": she lived in the South of France for 7 years, changing town like a T-shirt. She never misses an opportunity to travel, whether in France or abroad. Lucie is as curious as a cat, passionate about animals, an admirer of nature, sensitive to climate change and a humanitarian. For all these reasons, she naturally turned to StarPeace. She divides her time between community management, journalism (thanks to the articles published on this site), press relations and book translations.

Ibrahima Traoré-Assiga, supports the StarPeace team in the creation, marketing and commercialization of children's products.

"No one is born walking. You have to set up constant and consistent actions to achieve your goals, and leave time to time."

After completing a DUT in marketing technology, Ibrahima entered the world of art and creation by starting a course in architecture. Passionate about drawing, art, music and dance from an early age, creativity is indeed one of his qualities. Originally from the Paris region, Ibrahima lived for a few years in the South of France before returning to his native region. Very curious, he seeks to learn new things every day. He has fallen in love with the StarPeace adventure, because the vision and awakening present in this universe make so much sense to him. His altruistic side makes him all the more keen to duplicate and share his knowledge and skills with others, especially children, who for him are the creators of tomorrow. His experience and skills have taken him to the position of marketing director, purchasing/sales manager and production and logistics assistant at StarPeace. For him, our world is based on sharing, the exchange of knowledge and skills and, above all, the love we give ourselves and others.

Charlotte Penno, sales consultant for StarPeace products

"Wealth is not money, it is love".

A sales consultant since 2009, Charlotte has built up a wealth of experience in this field over the years. She has worked for a number of different brands, with a variety of different roles: store manager, stock manager, etc. It turns out that as the years went by, the products Charlotte was selling spoke less and less to her. She was immediately inspired by the message StarPeace wanted to convey to the next generation. When the company knocked on her door, Charlotte immediately accepted this new challenge.
